As we continue around the deserts of southern California, a must see is Death Valley. Now, as the name implies, I would not venture here in the summer time. I was there in the spring after a rainy season to see the super bloom of desert flowers. Stay on approved roads and trails, and make sure you have a full tank of gas, and plenty of fluids for your venture here. It is actually quite large from end to end, and take a full day to see all the different sites. From the salt flats to the volcanic craters, there is plenty of life and color if you take the time to look.
